Lorna Brightmore - Survival Analysis
Lorna Brightmore has a PhD in Random Matrix Theory from the University of Bristol, where she was awarded a special commendation for excellence in her thesis. Further, she had extensive research experience in academia; then moved into various analyst roles in data science industry. Now, as a data scientist at Tails.com, she brings the data insight to enhance tailor made pet food for our ferry friends.

Starting as a .net developer, now as the Tech Principal Data Scientist at ElastaCloud, Laura has extensive knowledge handling big data; and through her consultancy skills to reveal the values of data for her customers. She also believes in the combination of CRISP-DM and Agile methodologies for fast Data Science delivery .Outside her job, Laura is the founder of a Meetup group called “Inspiring Women in Data Science” which supports women from different backgrounds to transition into Data Science careers, so frequently organises meetup to chat around any project STEM or Data Science related.
